At Happy Capy, we believe that art should be a fun and engaging experience for everyone. We encourage exploration and joy through art, because we believe that joy comes from the process, not the product of making art.
While our primary focus is watercolors, we also dive into other mediums like collage, clay, acrylic, and printmaking for our projects.
We offer a variety of art classes and workshops for kids and adults, from monthly art classes for kids ages 7-13, summer camps, art workshops, and paint nights. No matter what your skill level or interests, we've got something for everyone. We can't wait to see what you create!

the story behind
Hello! I'm Kristell
The story of my studio name starts with a tough time in my life - when my grandma passed away. I found it difficult to create art, but I knew I needed to feel close to her somehow. So, I started learning about her homeland, Ecuador, and its wildlife. I found inspiration in the adorable capybara and started painting them. The capybara became a symbol of joy, kindness, and play, things my grandma embodied. And so, the name Happy Capy Art Studio was born! It's a reminder to keep creating and to keep those qualities close to my heart.
Now, I get to share that joy and creativity with kids every day! And it's all thanks to my grandma and those cute little capybaras.
